Hi dude! I need your advice. I'm about to get GSXR SRAD 600 '99 as starter bike. Never rode 600 befofe, but I've been awesome corider on 600-750. Like easy to get adapted to. I'm interested in this bike, since it has 110ps (80 kW), lightweight and good handling as posture. From your experience, I would love to hear your opinion on this. You have been riding so much kmhs I assume. So, with the knowledge of counter-steering, braking, rev matching and so on, but without riding experience by myself, is this a good bike to start? '99 GSXR SRAD.

TBH, I think a 600 is too big for a starter bike, fast enough to get you into trouble very quick if you're inexperienced. I would look for a 400 to start on, maybe something like a VFR400, ZXR400. Best to start things slowly, until you get some experience on roads before going too big too soon. Build things gradually, then move up to a 600 or 750 and live to enjoy your biking.

@@sstephiL As mentioned, a Srad isn't a begginer bike. What makes it an awesome bike in experienced hands, equally makes it lethal for the begginer. This is why many of them have been crashed, destroyed & rebuilt. A VFR400 NC30 would be perfect & take your time learning the ropes. Once you can keep this bike on the boil at high revs..& be in complete control doing so, only then are you ready for something bigger. Slowly slowly does it, learn the craft properly & you'll one day be the rider you want.

24th Jan, don't think the cold road surface helped. As a very experienced rider of the ring, these guys rode well enough & much better than most.
