Removed original parts and replaced with a cheap Alliexpress $70.00 part.

Hi Johan, quick question for you. Did you clean the exhaust system next to the valve entirely or there are some filter left over inside the pipe? Do you have other videos, like outside garage? Cheers & nice sound by the way.

Remove headers mate. Can't cut on the bike. Just drop radiator down a bit. Easy job. Dont have to remove radiator completely.

This is exactly what i want to do, remove the big ugly box and make it sound decent (probably add a couple hp). Did you just put in a generic midpipe or was there a specific one?

Its bike specific. I ordered online from AliExpress. Just search on their website for GSX-S 1000. Hope thats what you ride. I own a 2022 model now. It won't work on the newer model. Suzuki moved the O2 sensor to the back of the pipe. Cheers

@@16bmh I have the 22 model GSX-S now. GT will probably the same design. With the oxygen sensor behind the stuff you want to remove I'm not sure how the sensor will operate and if that will have an impact on its effectiveness.

seems that removing parts that were engineered as part of the bike invariably cause the bike to run badly....less power than it had before. More noise, more emissions, less power, poor drivability.

Hey johan good video, im interested in a gsxs as my next bike but im reading alot of comments about them having twitchy throttle, just interested to know your thoughts on & have you done any throttle mods on your bike ??? Thanks

Hi mate. I absolutely love my bike with the snatchy throttle as it is. It is noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear. The rest is not so bad To me it is a 1000cc with power on demand. Im 100% used to it and it doesn't bother me at all. I don't have money to through at the bike left right and centre. If I had the money I would have bought a more expensive bike with better brakes, suspension, electronics etc. I love what I have for the money and I refuse to pay another $10 000 for some improvements. I have adjusted all the throttle play out of the throttle. . So if I turn the throttle 1mm she revs. That way I know exactly when to expect the torque on the back wheel. Enjoy mate.

Does it effect fuel economy? Also did you get it remapped or anything after?

If anything, my fuel economy is a bit better. Just over 20km per litre. I can be wrong but I think my power delivery is better too. No mapping or power commander needed. You cut the exhaust behind the O 2 sensor. Cheers

No I didn't. You cut your current exhaust behind the oxygen sensor. The sensor still does its current job effectively afterwards.

No. Open up fairing. Undo the radiator so it drops forward. Do not remove hoses. Take headers of. Its not hard. Cheers
