Thanks Paul. Takes me back to 1973 when I purchased one brand new. It was December 73 when the dealer tried to talk me into the 1974 model with the gear display. I said thanks, but no thanks, I'll buy the 73 model. It was cheaper of course. I rode it from Sydney Australia to Perth WA and return. It was approx 2500 miles to Perth with over 200 miles of dirt road back then. I loved that bike. Fond memories.

Very nice condition! I’m a big two stroke fan and still own a Kawasaki KH-500.

I used to have a 1974 GT185. I wish I kept it. It was a great bike and fun to ride. You've got a beautiful bike there.

Nothing beats a 2 stroke triple.

I've owned 14 kawasaki triples in my time, never had a centre cylinder seize, Elvis isn't on the moon either. 😂😂

yours is in 1977 colours [ black side panels ] , still having earlier linked pipes , sounding nice , they will do a lot more to the gallon than 30 = , will check mine again , but does a lot more mpg.

Ive got a 76 A in black and prefer the UK pipes with no link pipe between downpipes but that one is lovely.everything you said i agree with.

US version so standard bores as opposed to the chromed bores the UK got (with a little more power from the motor) from the 1975 'M' model....great if the bores are in good nick (they last very well as the rings & piston are supposed to be the part that wears). Lovely looking bikes, but as you say always in the 750s shadow.

I have always wanted one of these GTs but the first thing I would do is month ball the exhaust and go for expansion Chambers and wake up the neighbors .

The ‘72 is the best looking one in my opinion

I’ve actually had both, but prefer these later models, probably because they were the one’s I wanted when they were new! Great bikes though, very underrated.
