The WOODCRAFT 75mm Rise Side Mount clip-ons have arrived and I couldn't wait to film the unboxing! They are beautifully made and they are going onto the silver busa as we speak... new video soon.

Looks like a good plan and well researched. Shame the forks are pretty short on the Busa, else you could've fitted a conventional top yoke and fitted clipons that clamp above the top yoke - like on my gsxr1100. I have 10mm offset and mounted with less angle backwards this has given me greater comfort/more leverage . Love your videos, have a big soft spot for the Busa, am looking for another !

Thanks and you’re exactly right. It’s a shame the busa only has 8 mm of fork tube protruding above the top triple clamp. ( I set the forks as per the workshop manual at the start of the job ). If they were longer, (15mm), I could have bought the Superbike Streetfighter Vario Handlebars Riser Kit from Moto-cnc. And yes, comfort/more leverage is what’s needed. See you in the next one…

Mmmm been thinking of a Brembo master on my gen2 I did braided lines which worked nicely but a better master cylinder would be nice How much improvement did you find with the Brembo radial I’ll keep the standard bar set up but would shy away if there are clearance issues Love your videos cause I’m always learning 👍

I think the standard OEM top handlebar clamp on the gen2 would allow the Brembo mc to fit (but I would ask the guys who have already done the swap in the Australian Hayabusa club first) but the real drama is having an aftermarket top clamp for the forks to protrude through with the Brembo or other brand radial mc. On my gen1 the improvement was way more braking power with plenty of feel. The Nissin 19mm Radial on the other gen1 was equally as powerful but a much harder lever so you could say less feel. But both heaps better than the old gen1 setup.

I got some woodcraft clip ons for my gen2 but unfortunately got the other style that placed them too far forward. DOH!

It's a tight fit hey! I'm worried that I've got this right...... Hopefully you can sell your Woodcraft bars without to much hassle.

@@KJmotoplus yeah I need to get them onto trademe. I ended up. Searching for (and finding!) an old Roland Sands top clamp.. Super light and replaces all of the factory stuff. Puts the bars in the factory location too!!

@@KJmotoplus actually, while. I'm here, nobody should worry about buzz or anything. I use the solid Roland Sands top clamp with no bar end weights and have zero buzz!! The trick is to throw away your aluminium bars and throw in some carbon fibre ones. Absolutely no downside and they are dead, no vibration at all.

Silver gen1 Busa for country riding and track days. Black gen1 busa, lowered for the drags and riding around (but engine in pieces because of the 2nd gear problem. GSXR1000K6 that has done everything and needs an engine freshen up. Kawasaki ZX6R that just sort of came up for a good price. And now the TL1000R....That's why I decided to get really serious about my youtube channel because I'll never run out of projects to talk about!
