Just did it on a 2002. Makes a big difference. I took the exhaust tip off as well. This had to be engineered in at the factory, a larger jet installed with a smaller restricted jet on top of that. Iv'e been in my fair share of carbs and never seen that before.

Theres a small washer inside the exhaust pipe at the front that's a restriction plate

What is the rubber pipe on the main jet for as mine is missing?

So if you look in the bottom of the bowl there's a little round spot with a hole that's where that rubber piece sits between that jet and that hole

But if yours is running fine without it I wouldn't worry about it

@@christopherfreshwater5347 it runs fine unless i hold it full revs down the street and then it tries to die out but can bring it back by dabbing the throttle seem to be starving of fuel
