Nice video! I learn a lot from your voiceovers. A video with emphasis on the swing arm apparatus would be sweet!

Thanks for the input James! A video highlighting swing outs will be coming up this winter - stay tuned!

Incredible my friend ever done a jimny ?
@BalmersWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I haven't worked on a Jimny. They are equally cool little rigs though and I'd love to but the Balmer touch on one!

Check out my Pajero Mini front bumper video - it's very similar to a Jimny. I'm actually just building a swing away rear bumper and a ton of other stuff for it right now so there'll be more videos coming up.

For your camera changing the hue, You probably have the white balance set to auto. You need to set the white balance manually to whatever hue you want and then it wont change

What's the weight on this unit and how is the lil zuki handling it?
@BalmersWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
The bumper itself (minus the tire and fuel can/holder) is just over 100lbs. With the tire and a full fuel can it would be around 190lbs. It's holding up beautifully and there has been no noticeable sag at the rear of the vehicle.

What brand hinge and cam lock do you use?
@BalmersWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
The Cam lock is by Balmer Fabrication and the spindle/hub assembly is sourced from a local machinist for Balmer Fab. Both of these parts will be available on the website next month. The site is undergoing a massive re-vamp this month and will now include an on-line store featuring these and other items. Please check back often! www.balmerfab.com

The camera color adjustment may be a hardware failure depending on the type of camera... If you're filming the welding segments with it then the long-term exposure of the light may have an effect on this
@BalmersWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for your input! I have done a lot of welding time on that camera and I fear I've sort of ruined it ;( I'm now using a new camera with a UV lens protector so I hope it holds up!
