Thanks for the video, you made it clear and to the point- which is exactly what I like. :) Videos thst take 20 minutes to talk about a procedure which only takes 5 minutes are totally unnecessary lol.

I've done both wheels on my Vstrom before so was familiar with the process somewhat. I have an SV650 now. This was a great reminder though so thanks much!

How do you slide the Axel bolt out so easily mine will not budge I got the nut off but I can’t get it through
@RideWNC2 жыл бұрын
The last guy did not grease the axle. That always sucks! Put the axle nut back on untill the treads almost come through the nut. Take a rubber dead blow hammer and knock the axle loose. Maybe WD-40 before you hit it. Use a light coat of marine grease before install.

@@RideWNC thank you! Hammer worked, got that tire off! My first time ever!! this video helped me so much, you rock! :)

Has anybody ever seen a rear Sv650 brake carrier tapped into the rear chain adjuster to help with wheel changes??
@RideWNC6 жыл бұрын
The carrier and caliper needs to slide off with the wheel so the wheel doesn't get scratched during removal.

MikeE RideWNC thanks but it's a racing thing. Scratches are essential;-)

Do you know the torque spec for placing the axle nut back on?
@RideWNC7 жыл бұрын
I don't give out torque specs in case your bike is different from the one in the video. It will be in your owners manual.

Do you have to loosen the chain tensioners to get the wheel out?

What type of grease should i use for the spacer and axle?
@RideWNC7 жыл бұрын
Marine Grease is best. It repels water.

1/2” drive or 3/8 with the 24mm socket ?
@RideWNC3 жыл бұрын
24mm is big and a lot of torque on it... Go with 1/2 drive.
@billymarz91463 жыл бұрын
@@RideWNC okay will do thanks man

Can you do this without the bike stand you have? maybe with a 2x4 and two jack stands?
@RideWNC7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't. I don't like picking bikes up off of the ground. Right tools for the job.
