Engine misfires can be caused by a list of faults, but there are a few suspects that occur more than others. The primary villains are simple - spark or fuel - usually manifesting in spark plugs, plug wires, the coil(s) or the fuel-delivery system.
Rough Acceleration: As you start driving if it feels like the car is jerking but it's not happening when idling, that's also a sign of a misfire. Acceleration is putting stress on the engine, so when it seems to struggle to perform that task, you may want to get it looked at.
The DTC shows Catalyst system, Cylinder 2 and 4 misfire detected, and a ramdom multiple misfire. The Catalyst DTC shows up because of overheat because of excessive amounts of unburned gas caused by a misfiring spark plug.
The spark plugs are faulty thats causes to misfire, coil led is damaged at cylinder 1, oil at spark plugs because of worn valve gasket.
So what we did is Replaced 4 spark plugs, cylinder 1 coil led, valve cover gasket, and we recommend Throttle body cleaning and fuel injector clean which is aprroved by the customer.
