This is exact reason why I prefer my old bike. Riding my pulsar 150 from 16 years and changed chain sprocket only once..i don't understand how a chain sprocket can go bad in one year. The teeth will show some wear and tear but that doesn't mean you have to change it . Quick tip when going to service don't show off your go pro and riding gear and stuff more the reason for them to rip you.

I have been to aryan Suzuki atleast 4-5 timea for my handlebar issue😅 They are probably best in bangalore, but they dont do fork bend repairs, thats biggest con 2nd balaji guy is bronze rated technician for suzuki , he works mostly on big bikes. My bad experience: i had fork bend in my bike (courtesy my friend), they took the bike and made the change handlebar, t steam and few small things till then they didnt have idea it was fork bend. Then at last they did the fork bend repair which was 1000s and by then i had done part replacement of 3-4k. Not a single service centre in bangalore has capability to do fork bwnd repair they took my bike to another garage and fixed it (99%).

The same thing I'm also experienced in Yamaha also, with my FZS V2. Maybe in 3rd or 4th service within a year of purchase, the company mechanic forced me to replace the Front Forks, for a single scratch on the Right Side Fork.... I said there is no need for the replacement & now I'm clock almost 70k running with the same Forks & still they are working fine.......

Aur Jo link main aapko send Kiya hai Flipkart ka, engine oil additive, just add the same, as you have recently serviced your bike, which helps in lubricating the internal parts more efficiently which increases the engine life wear and ter parts and helps in increasing the smooth acceleration and fuel efficiency also.

Really i had a bad experience with Suzuki service and warranty claims after sales too bad and one thing before buying vstrom, spares availablity was lower side they took around 15 days time replace the part other than that bike performance is very good and refinement is great, bike is best in segment

Hi Bro, The thing you said about the chain sprockets is right. Some service centers do push for changing the complete set instead of just adjusting it properly. I had similar problem in r15 v3 where it used to make some weird sound. At the authorized service center they said me to chain the complete chain sprockets. At that time my bike was driven 20k kms. I went to a local mechanic and he just solved my problem. Later At 30k kms I had faced the issue and then went with the new one. I'm actually planning to switch from r15 v3 to vstorm 250 so I can go for touring. I hope vstrom doesn't bother you on long runs.

Hi, bro, AAP apna v-storm ka spark plug iridium mein change karwa lo Jo one time investment hai, but aapka bike performance acha kar dega Jo copper spark plug se far far better rehta hai.

For those who don't know, what all needs to be checked or replaced for this bike (or other Suzuki bikes/scootys) all is is mentioned in Suzuki Website under Service section. Just swipe to your bike in the slider/carousel and you will be able to go through all the check-list for each service interval. Can't post link due to google.

Sprokets do spoil in 10k .. if u never lube and run dry conditions! Or if you get it adjusted by some local mechanic they might adjust it tight! Or if they don't align the marks on both sides properly while adjusting! All these scenarios chain sprocket life is 10k only! Never get it adjusted in improper way! And also by looking at the spark plug! My opinion was there was no need to change the spark plug!

Bro, I am facing issue while downshifting. Complete down shift nhi hota hai, it stucks. I has to push twice to shift one gear down. Its been only one month for my bike and 1st service also done. But still facing this issue. What might be the cause for this? Please do replay. Chain is not tight, its okay and alignment also proper. But some garr garr sound i hear while riding

I had honda Unicorn used for 7 years never changed chain sprocket and never had any expenses other than servicing, battery and small parts like brake pad, Spark plug etc.

Great content As u mentioned u changed ur front brakes pads in the second service, even my vstrom is due of second service when I inspected the front brake pads they were more worn-out that the rear once so when u changed only the front brakepad did u get any answer as why the front brakepad wear out faster than the rear once if yes do comment below Love the way u spell kannada than kannad Fix for the number plate would be sticking double side tape behind the plate so has to avoid vibration

Stock pads for this bike in some lots are poor quality or have some production issue. Even mine wore out in 3000kms only. Got it changed and now at 9k doing well, no issues at all. Get both changed if you feel like braking is getting weaker.

Just stick to whatever is bike company / Tyre OEM suggested pressure is for the tyres with/without pillion. For VStrom Stock tyres are from MRF Mogrip Meteor and as @HELMETDUDE mentioned Front 22psi and rear 29psi is OEM suggested pressures regardless of pillion or not. Also don't experiment with tyre pressure AT ALL, unless you know what you are doing.

most of these guys at ASC are aaya Ram gaya Ram, they lack finesse,passion. You need to have a genuine love for mechanics. i have experienced them. I own a 3rd hand gsr150 2010 model bought 7 years ago @33k kms on the odo. the first 4 -6 services i did at ASC were costly and pretty much dissatisfactory, thats when i decided to learn DIY by myself and here i am @165000 km on my odo and still going strong , for major jobs i have a FNG , Spare parts i always order before a month.. folllow correct service intervals like lubing and oil change and your suzuki will easily last a generation.

Slipper clutch is required only if you do use engine braking at high revs from what I have experienced. (Keyword: performance motorcycles. ) Slipper clutch in most underpowered motorcycles is a gimmick in my opinion.

You don't need slipper clutch at all if you engine brake properly matching the revs in each gear. Slipper clutch is just a huge gimmick. I ride avenger 220 street and I engine break heavily almost all the time like how they do in NFS Most Wanted. It's just a matter of skill, if you are going 90kmph and suddenly downshift to 2nd gear and leave the clutch of course the tyres will skid but nobody in the right mind would do that. If you downshift with proper rev match then no need of slipper clutch. Many people don't even know what slipper clutch mean, they think slipper clutch means light clutch 🤦🏻‍♂️
