About police officers in MHA, they're definitely needed. For one thing, heroes don't have the authority to arrest people or acquire search warrants. Only police do that. They also will provide backup for heroes sometimes when needed (not all officers are quirkless).

Police also do investigating and intelligence gathering. When they go to save Bakugo in season 3 All Might mentions how it would have been impossible to find him without the police.

I feel like you could give the Heroes the same training and make the police obsolete

@@joshuapierre2095 it's not the same job. a hero who stays in an office all day to do paper work is not practical. that would be like saying we could train police to be firefighters but that wouldn't work because we need people with different specialties.

Heroes are just the muscle. There's a lot more to policework than that. I kind of wish they would emphasise that a bit more in MHA. Heroes do very little investigative work. And heroes have no part to play at all in white collar crime.
