Finally surrendered and got myself a copy of Escape From Tarkov (mostly because of your vids). Even though I thought I was used to tactical shooter/Milsim, this one is giving me quite the hard time. I already found some nice guides on YT but damn that game is merciless (at some point I made 7 raids in a row which lasted for less than 2-3mins... and then you have to wait for another 20min between each one to actually get another shot). So much things to learn (to much ?). It makes it even crazier seeing you playing with this kind of high level gear though.

Honestly its all about team communication because without that you end up shooting your guys by accident if you scatter. There has been a good amount of times where I kill or get killed by my buddies. Good times are had.

@@SOP.D Since the game is based on realism if they only add local in game VOIP, like TFAR on ArmA, then I think we would be good. But since we don't have that, we have to know eachothers location and be in-sync all the time, as to where we are and understand what we're going to do next, it is extremly difficult to implement this especially if you don't have 1000's of hours in the game and know every location by heart, and that is difficult for people that work full time, and have other things to do in life. In my opinion, this game is really great for those that can play it full time and know the in's and outs, but for someone that jumps on every now and again, it is really hard to be good at it, the only solution I see as of now is in game VOIP and a compass atleast, this will really help players to be more effective at team work without losing any realism that the game provides.

Thermals are very bad for eyes in RL . Litteraly eyes hurt if using for some time :/ B&W versions. Maybe this new one with orange colour (u were talking about) is more gentle for eyes

I'm about to take the plunge and buy EFT. I'm mostly concerned about netcode, since desyncs are by far the biggest reason I haven't purchased it. From my KZbin and Google 'research' I believe the game's netcode has improved compared to a couple patches back. However compared to other games it's quite far from optimal. I can't seem to find a .12 patch netcode analysis, is it any better?

Play it more. Watch videos. First hand experience will help. Once you understand the layout then focus on store names. Just know Goshan is the back of the mall. Oli is right, Idea is left. The layout in the middle is mirrored on both sides.
