Svelte came at the perfect moment for me. Without any disrespect to either the core team or developers who do like the API, I simply don't enjoy writing React since the advent of hooks. Svelte feels utterly joyous by comparison, and has been my first choice for the last year or so

When svelte/sveltekit enters the room , poor react, angular, and vue bow down. Svelte is the future of the Web 4.0. It has transitions of DOM elements, API back end, SSR , app initiating by ssr and taken over by csr, whole app ssr, which are out of the box and pleasant developer experience, less LOC, smaller bundle size. Most importantly we are writing 99% plain JavaScript which is close to my heart. It has typescript also which is optional. What else do we need?

It’s the first framework I used, still the only one in fact. Love developing and learning with it so far, looking at other frameworks looks somewhat daunting and unnecessary in everything except job applications. Thanks for this video, some things went above my head but I mostly got the gist. Really interesting take and list. Cheers :)

As a huge fan and user of Svelte, I’ve been so excited to see the growth, changes, and now adoption of this simple fact… Svelte has a major role in the future of development. The future is now. If you’re not learning Svelte and Sveltekit, start now.

I started using Svelte at the 3.0 release almost 4 years ago. Compared to React Class Components at the time, it was an amazing breath of fresh air. Easy to write, crazy fast, complete opposite of React. The introduction of functional components and hooks made me switch back to React reluctantly, simply because of the existing ecosystems and large community support. I’d LOVE to work with Svelte in the future as it grows!

I tried svelte for the first time coming from react and immediately decided to already build my own UI library adapting my favorite design system which is something I've never thought my skills would fit or actually needed because it's already available for react. But the excitement to stick with svelte just made me take the decision to do. Can't agree with you more and i see it definitely the future

Been practing and Learning Javascript HTML and CSS for the past 4 months now and I have been looking at frameworks and libraries to try out. Does Svelte use a lot of components? Also, can Svelte be used to not only make web applications, but is it possible to make a simple mobile app or is React Native the only player in town that is used for mobile apps? Thank you for the excellent video.

I am working on svelte now coming from angular, which by the way is totally a different world, my worry about svelte is that it's been two years now and they are still in beta. Problems I'm used to have fixed in angular over couple of months with a new update, have no fix in svelte yet, when are they going to come out of beta?

As Vue Developer I can only agree, but React has many problems which have been listed, but not Vue.
@everyhandletaken3 жыл бұрын
I think the key is that Vue doesn't have much at all in the way of problems, but Svelte just makes things even more approachable & it is the even further reduction in boilerplate & the simplicity with state that makes it the clear winner for me. If I had to choose between Vue & React, though, there is no contest. Vue is excellent. Unfortunately, I think Vue is seen as a middle ground between React & Svelte, where those that didn't switch to Vue already, will probably pass it by & move to Svelte, if they choose to move at all.

There is only one minus for Svelte. If you are working on existing huge project (ex. on PHP) you cannot just put cdn link/src to the svelte.js file into the header into your HTML page and make it working as you can do it in React and/or Vue.JS.

React was once in this position (in comparison to angular). Web dev is always about tools rather than focusing on building near-native experiences esp with PWAs. For those who are focus on that, Modern React is fine.

I think many Svelte _paradigms_ will be adopted by other frameworks, so in that way you might say it is the future. But I highly doubt Svelte _itself_ is the future. Svelte adoption is a simple cost/benefit analysis, and honestly I just don't see it. I actually like Svelte, but it isn't _so_ much better than React or Vue that it would justify re-creating all of the stupendous amount of functionality currently built around them (particularly React) when it's ultimately not even _that_ much different from either of them. Especially as you begin to introduce SvelteKit's complexities into the mix, much of Svelte's original allure quickly begins to erode. Which isn't to say that SvelteKit is "bad" per se, it's just... More of the same of what you'd be likely to find in, say, Next. Which means there's not a compelling reason to make the move, especially for companies with heavy investments in React.

@@boabtube React js is a shame and blasphemy to JavaScript community. Governments should ban the use of this stupid library. Same functionalities can be achieved with Angular and Svelte with less frustration, so what's the point of using the stupid react js which makes web development unnecessarily complicated.? Those who use react are slaves.
