I'm SO WITH YOU on this endless winter!!!! It's so bloody cold in Montreal though we will be hit with freezing rain after what seemed to be one of the coldest spells from Xmas to just after New Year. Yes the color variation on your cattleya could have been due to different light conditions. Also temperatures can affect flower color. Sometimes flowers can change dramatically from one flowering to another as it matures. Usually it is not as dramatic as yours but nevertheless, you can't fault the cattleya for blooming as often as it does :) I like it but certainly the bright yellows with soft pink backgrounds are quite lovely as well.

+ResQuetzal oh no! Freezing rain is hitting here tomorrow too... and yes.. you are right about temperature influence! I forgot to tell , last year that catt resides on my windowsill, and temp was higher inside my home, compare to temp in green house she is in this year... from 72 last year to 64 ... also impacted her coloration Thanks for watching!

Beautiful flower. Do you keep track of the fertilizer you use and how much and how often? I think that may have more to do with the size of your paph flower? You should do an experiment with this?!. I like waldor as well. Can’t wait till it gets warmer so I can visit again. Beautiful flowers as usual!

+Stacey Ranalli Stacey, I keep track of feedings too, can’t remember what was doing day or two ago.... of course fertilizer will make flowers grow bigger... and especially when plant matures... but definitely more light- bigger flowers I can tell.. I met young Waldor guy at our meeting, very pleasant and passionate man-)))

Do you have a specific regiment? Or fertilizer you prefer? I am still looking for a good one. I feed weekly weakly. I also have used crushed oyster shells for added cal. What do you like?

Светлана, не огорчайтесь!!! 💖 Виноваты в общем не Вы, а погода. А Вы.... "хотели сделать лучше, а получилось как всегда..". 🤔🤕 А мне даже нравится окраска цветков сейчас , тем более, что солнышка нет, а они сами такие солнечные, такие яркие! 😘 Конечно же, я понимаю, что должно быть по-другому. Ничего, в следующем году, она Вас порадует настоящей цветовой гаммой!!! У меня тоже в одной комнате подсветка и то для фиалочек. Которые скоро, я думаю, "благополучно " отойдут в мир иной, оставляя больше места другим растениям. 😖
