Over an hour and a half of RFI's coverage of snap parliamentary elections in France on Sunday June 30th, 2024. At the time, exit poll results were already available, and these already indicated a historic win for far-right National Rally, led by Marine Le Pen, an alleged Putler ally.
Each parties' exact share in National Assembly will be known after a 2nd round of the elections next Sunday, when areas where no candidate has earned 50% or more votes under at least 12.5% turnout will be voting again, this time choosing between two most popular candidates in the 1st round.
RFI's French programming is aimed predominantly towards Africa, although good reception is possible across Europe too, thanks to 500kW transmitters in Issoudun (although most transmissions are now made with half-power). Here, it was mostly good, especially after 20:00 UTC, when 15300 kHz was off and 9790 was first to come, ahead of 11995 kHz. Before 19:00 UTC, I had a quick check of other frequencies in use: 17620, 17850 & 21690 kHz, but they were all weak to fair - at least on this setup.
Recorded mostly unattended at 18:44-20:12 UTC Sunday June 30th, 2024 in NE Poland using a "desktop" TEF6686 tuner controlled through FM-DX Webserver by @NoobishSVK github.com/Noo..., and my usual ~15x4.5m loop antenna. However, I had to post-process the audio for loudness as well as to silence a Windows 10 blink sound that took off a few times.
