So I’ve read on your website this kit does not include a tailgate. I’m needing to either fix mine or replace it and I’m looking at options. Do you have a kit that comes with a new tailgate and does not require the use of the original?

Unfortunately, we do not sell any replacement tailgates. I would recommend checking ebay. There are usually some OEM tailgates in pretty good shape for sale there. I know Quadratec has a few options for aftermarket tailgates as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you, SWAG Off Road

I want this for a JK... Do NOT want to use the factory tailgate for this setup on my JK because of the large bump on the latch side.

Do you not use the secondary latch on the passenger side anymore? How did you get around using that?

We no longer use the secondary latch because the operation of cutting away metal to make space for it drove many people away, and was overly time-consuming. All of the adjustments to straighten out the tailgate are made with the striker latch on the driver side.

Sounds like you are probably the rear washer hose for hard top. Even if u don’t have a hard top, there is probably still the hookups for it

@@greggrusnak6094 Numb nuts. Get a bumper mounted tire carrier. A quick google search will show you people running the drop down tail gate and a swing away and it works great. Get a grip buddy.
