I have V3. Before I bought this, I HATED my Milwaukee band saw. Now I love it! I use the foot switch and zip-tied the trigger on the saw.

Why do you "not recommend" buying a harbor freight saw? other than the "cheap must be junk" ignorant thinking, is there a reason you don't recommend it for your tables? The HF saw gets outstanding reviews and is 1/3 of the price of the competitors. does it not match up with the table well or are you just biased against HF?

It’s not “ignorant thinking” as you ignorantly imply. It’s logical thinking, at least from a professional perspective. Those of us who earn a living with our tools demand reliability. We can not afford to waste time on inferior tools that fail and cost us down time. In spite of what the You Tube army claims, Harbor Freight power tools do not deliver the level of quality and reliability that professional craftsmen need to be efficient and competitive. If on the other hand, you do not value your time, then by all means, buy cheap tools and waste time with them. My time is too valuable to me to waste with poor quality tools.

Just curious. What is the advantage this this and a portaband saw compared to a normal band saw?

You can bring this table to the work site with your saw easily. Only takes minutes to set up. Or if you live in an apartment like I do, and don't have anywhere to store a standing band saw, you can break this one down in minutes and put it away.

Most vertical band saws that you will find in the $100-500 price range are designed to cut wood and in some cases (two-speed or wood/metal models) soft metals such as brass and aluminum. Their blade speed is far to fast (about 10X too fast) for cutting steel. Typically, vertical, metal-cutting band saws to cut steel are larger than a household refrigerator and cost several thousand dollars.

My harbor freight saw is great....thanks... I was thinking of getting a table from you guys but I may not now! You really shouldn't dog tools you make for the same tool...not good marketing.

Just received my V 3.0 table, very impressive; every part precision cut, no sharp edges, every piece of hardware is included, just open the box and put it together. I got the table top black coated, smooth and looks great. Also purchased the foot pedal and INCRA guide. USPS really must take a hit delivering this thing in that flat rate box; post man asked me if the box was filled with lead! BTW, I'm using a Milwaukee 6230 band saw with it which I've had for decades. This table is one of the nicest christmas presents I've ever bought myself. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

dil bert how did you get your 6230 dialed in...i could not get mine to cut straight up and down...with the incra i could super tight 90s...but not straight up and down..finally jsut got the new milwaukee and 4.0 top

awesome company. my first swag table did not work out so well..i had an older milwaukee that would not cut straight...evan was crazy helpful on all accounts...finally i ditched that saw bought new 4.0 top and a 6232-20 saw and its straighter than straight...point is ...swag has awesome customer service and go above and beyond...in this day and age that is priceless....now let me get my pennies saved up and get the hydraulic finger break set up :)

I spent a fair amount of time researching for a compact metal cutting band saw solution and found the Milwaukee porta band with Swag V4.0 table to be the best option for my needs. I've only just placed my order and I'm very much looking forward to setting it up and doing some precision cutting.

I have version two with a dewalt....works great for knifemakers...especially with the foot switch! Any shortcoming with the throat length for longer straight cuts can usually be done buy reversing the work piece. So glad I got this from you guys. I'ts my number 1 tool for cutting out my knife blanks. Thanks for a great product.

I just got V4.0 and was impressed with the quality of materials used in the construction; however, the thumbscrew that helps hold the saw onto the table by catching the saw's shoe just barely catches the tip on mine. I'll either have to use a large washer or drill and tap a hole closer to the saw for a better fit. I wasn't impresssed with the response I got from the company - was basically "we haven't had any issue with saws falling off the table" was all I got.

Hi, great product just wanted to share a tip on making your video as good as your product the voice in your videos are extremely quite, way to quiet i usually have to watch a video of yours 3 or 4 times to hear everything there is also a little bit of an echo from your shop, which makes it worse if there is any way you can increase the volume of your voice on your videos it will lead to a better product demo great job so far and keep up the great work

If you want/need to, your saw can be removed from the stand and is then portable again.
