I wanted to dissect this freestyle. But after writing out the first two lines, I realized how long it would take. First two lines took almost a page. So many things go over peoples head. People still don't understand what his BET cypher meant. Wait till XXL freshman list, he definitely has something to prove, after being kept out of the Freshmen List for so long (refer to all the songs where he mentions XXL, including this freestyle). There are so many meanings behind this song. So many, its ridiculous. This is the first two lines. “To recognize the genius I am” - Understand how intelligent/skilled he is. Now, its well accepted that to have brilliant understanding and coherence, your mind must be in a state of clarity. You must have a clear mind to be able to think and process on a high level. Keep this in mind. Now let the breakdown begin :) Arenas/Eirene/Eirenes/Serena/Serenes are enunciated to sound alike with intention. Arena - fighting grounds, skill level, concert stage. Eirene - goddess of peace Eirenes - Spartan warriors in their prime Serena - highly rated female tennis player Serenes - clear, quiet, tranquil, calm, peaceful Venus - goddess of love and beauty, another highly rated female tennis player 1st Meaning: “You’d have to have one foot on Venus” - One foot on top of your opponent is a gesture of victory. Therefore, to even stand a chance, you’d have to defeat the only person who can even come close. Venus Williams (a well talented tennis player) is the sister of Serena Williams (another talented tennis player who is considered one of the best in the Women’s Tennis Association). “To even visit these arenas I’m in” - to even get to challenge him in the arena, you'd have to work your way up, and take out the second place first. 2nd Meaning; “You’d have to have one foot on Venus” - Again, very similar to the “you have to take out second place, to come to first place” analogy. Venus is the second Planet from the Sun. “To even visit these arenas I’m in” - to even come close to first place (his level), you have to be at least in second place. One foot on Venus, to step onto Mercury. 3rd Meaning: “You’d have to have one foot on Venus” - You’d have to be full of love and beauty. Venus is the goddess of love and beauty. “To even visit these serenes I’m in” - (Eirene/serenes/arenas) to even visit the peacefulness he is in (where he is mentally). Serena is a Latin name that is derived from the word serene. Serene means calm, clear, peaceful. Eirene is the goddess of peace. You would have to have one foot in “love and beauty” to even visit the “peacefulness” or clear mind he is in. 4th Meaning: "You'd have to have one foot on Venus" - you'd have to defeat or be done with all that is love and beauty. Have no good left. "To even visit these Eirenes I'm in" - to even come close to the "group of killers" he is categorized with. He is ruthless with the lyrics and kills everything. Eirenes are Spartan warriors at their physical prime (age 20 to 30). 5th Meaning: (the most obvious) “You’d have to have one foot on Venus” - you’d have to be so out of this world. “To even visit these arenas I’m in” - to even be able to visit the stages he performs on. Then he proceeds to ask: “Did I say Eirenes/Arenas or Serenes/Serena?” --- Last person that I spoke to about King Los brought up Kendrick Lamar. He was a super K Dot fan. We exchanged their best lines. He finally gave up, and his only argument then was: But where is his (King Los) album? Lol. The humor. Both good rappers, I'd just rather King Los, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Budden, J. Cole, and yes, Fabolous, over Kendrick. I know a few people will question that list. So be it:)

Very dope, in depth analysis of the 1st few bars of a BEAST verse. Kudos. You're right. This went waaaay over my head. Menibor1 I just read your comment. Here you go: I'm ill with, the skill with *scratches* (Scratching is a trademark for remixing, which is what he is superior at) The skill wet If this the shit that I build with (if he builds his career/brand by remixing other rappers' beats) I'm building a building built with a billion builders (His brain is so much advanced he feels like he is building a legacy/catalog built with multiple builders) That's building a building on top of this one (that are building on top of this freestyle. So pretty much this is just the beginning) No feeling is topping this one (double entendre - no emotion/happiness is topping this one, no filling (dentist) is topping/covering/hiding this one) No villain is stopping this one (no bad guy can put a stop to it)

The complexity of this lyricism is mind numbing. So much word play and multiple meanings... Every single bar has so much depth to it... "Even if you had wooden eyes, you can see I shine in my future so why wouldn' I? Too many bars to mention but those were some favorites.

***** But its a freestyle...
@hellofriend86949 жыл бұрын
Wayne Gee Its a freestyle in the sense that hes spitting a verse over a random beat. Also, just because its labled freestyle doesn't mean its off the top. You really think he came up with that Iambic Pentameter off the top? Shits way to complex. Not to mention the whole verse period is just crazy. Not trying to argue u or anything but I assure you, this is written. He should have labeled it "freeverse" or something. People always get this confused.
@geesixnine9 жыл бұрын
***** Oooohhh okay. I just thought he was that good lol
@hellofriend86949 жыл бұрын
Wayne Gee He is a great freestyler, theres a few videos were hes going straight off the head, sways in the morning 5 fingers of death video or the king los boston cypher video. He's crazy off the top but yeah, not this one. It's all good though buddy, I used to think the same thing about a lot of people.

Oh that freestyle was absolutely insane. He has so many good remixes/songs. Make You Fly, Roman's Revenge, U Be Killin Em, Moment for life, A Milli, Let The Beat Build are some of my faves. Pretty easy to put one of his mixtapes on and listen to it all the way through. His studio freestyles and word challenges are entertaining as fuck.
