I recently saw a video of PekinWoof, he played Swain mid with hull breaker and brought up the fact it'd be better against a tank! His build had a lot of problems i was curious how to fix and I wondered if instead of building Rylas, you could build cosmic instead and there were a few other things you did with runes and spacing, I've always thought possible, but typically struggle with! It was awesome seeing all my thoughts mastered!

i want to play swain but i’m currently maining top after swapping from mid a few months ago to work on my lane fundamentals. i only play sett right now but i’m looking for a second champ. do you think swain is a good enough top laner to play as a second champ or does he have worse matchups top than mid? also, is the blackfire torch + cosmic drive build tanky enough for top or would you recommend other items? great video i wish every champion had a onetrick making videos for it like you lol

I main swain top, its viable enough to play, I reached masters last season playing it. Also yes blackfire cosmic into tank items or lyandry is the play.

@@Onmitsukido yes it applies but BFT does same dmg(if i recall correctly) gives AP when fighting and also solves your mana problems in lane wich liandri does not. As swain is now your mana costs went down by a bit but your max mana went down as well. The numbers are small so sometimes you wont notice. BFT+Conq is 50~ish or so free AP.

as a main swain top I can tell you this good advice vs aatrox : in case there is no jungle interference or if only the ennemy jungler come : boots first back, and swiftes after lost chapter (even before if you are behind), before finishing mana item ! this item is a huge counter to aatrox. All the matchup is about spacing and doging his Q and W. It's a QTE game , where movespeed is the key.

1:17 no he's running tp so he doesn't lose minions to tower, you can literally see him hitting them 0.2s later in the next cut lol

Even with tp, he has to play out the dive instead of hitting minions, so he lost 2 while alive and was out of lane for 14 seconds. He didn't lose every minion because the cannon survived for a while but he lost a good chunk of those minions.
