you can set whhatever resolution you want in config file and only vertical fov is fixed. i play at 2:1 ratio, since it gives bigger horizontal fov.

You know how our screens are 16:9 aspect ratio right? like 1920:1080. There is this ultra wide monitors and have the aspect ratio of 21:9 that gives this wide perspective. Some games have options to force 16:9 monitors to have 21:9 since they are competitive games and just because enemy has a wide monitor should not be advantageous for them. And no it should not be bannable to have a wide monitor, and for most games you can force it to 21:9 from a config file. You can search "lol force 21 9" and im pretty sure someone already had the same idea and asked about it.
