Great experience. I enjoy travel vlogs. Few things to say : Walvis Bay is more an industrial town coz it's a port and key fishing harbour. It's the heart of fishing industry in Namibia ito factories. Walvis Bay is the richest fishing harbour in SUBSAHARAN Africa followed by SA. It's for that reason that Apartheid SA government refused to handover Walvis to Namibia in 1990. It's only when Mandela came out that it was handed over to Namibia in 1994. Walvis Bay was part of Western even before Namibia's independence. Almost 90% Most of the coloureds u see in Walvis are in one way or another cape tonians. Strange enough when u drove from Walvis Bay - SWAKOPMUND just at entry of the bridge is where the border between Namibia and South africa was. There was a police checkpoint there and SA immigration until 1994. From Swakopmund u needed a passport or Emergency travel certificate to go to Walvis Bay. It was very funny. 3 touristic events in Walvis : Dune 7 adventure. Boat excursion and Sandwich harbour tour. No visit to Namibia is complete without tour to Pink salt lake and sandwich harbour about 30-40km west of Walvis Bay.

The language of the the guys who assisted you is Nama. Nama are people u who inhabit whole southern Namibia and Northern Cape. They same people except that the Namas from Northern cape lost their mother tongue and ended up only speaking afrikaans. The SA government is trying to reinstate Nama language in schools in Northern cape.
