@@nri6878 during these shits like saas bahus sagas were served there were TV series like Powder(Sony TV), Yudh(Sony TV), Everest( Star Plus) were there and they were really good. Those series flopped badly. So, if audience is not watching good series and watching those craps so why channels will take a risk. Powder is now available on netflix. It is really good series.

@@MrPrandhir There are many factors for serials like everest, yudh and powder to flop. There time slots clashed with another popular show. I remember I wanted to watch Everest but my mom wanted to watch another show on Sony or Zee..so people wouldn't leave their serials midway for a new. show. So channels need to market such shows as well as slot them intelligently. Also the serials like Malgudi days, everest were made by renowned directors who knew their craft of story telling very well. We will not see any changes unless channel heads change their "quantity over quality" mindset.

@@nri6878 you might be right. Women are really stubborn for their serials. I also had an argument with my mother but she continues to watch those irritating 10 thousands episode serials. I think Everest, Powder came in wrong time. Still, i believe if audience stop watching those craps then channels will have to think about change. It is not only mummies and aunties but some uncles also watch Ekta Kapoor crap. Now, time is changing. People are shifting towards OTT platform. New generations women are disliking those craps. In future we will see good content.
