This "darshan" has no parallel. Swamiji maharaj makes it so easy for us to grasp this profound "darshan". I find the law of this land criminal because they don't allow easy access to this profound knowledge to all of us citizens at the least. Thank you for a detailed exposition of the Madukya Upnishad. It lucidly introduces the difficult subject for a newcomer like me. Can Swamiji or any other person in the know of these things please clarify on the following: Anesthesia produce an effect that is decidedly different from deep sleep and where consciousness is lost for the period under which one remains anesthetized. Psychedelic drugs on the other hand, like mescaline or LSD produce an altered consciousness, if not a distorted one. Are such states of consciousness (or absence thereof) included in the analysis of the Mandukya Upnishad? Thank you.
