His quote has been taken out of context. It was the time of British Raj,and Bengal's food habit way different than north India. It was only logical for those freedom fighters to make them strong with the food habit that was natural to them. And coming to the point of sadhana, in the early stages if the sadhak or bhakt is not spiritually sound like in the case of majority,one has to take satvik food, for others who are not doing sadhana it is not needed. When someone advances in the path of sadhana, nothing matters. They can eat anything and still can connect to their Ishta Devata.

That is why Swami Vivekananda emphasised the need of exercise, and after that he suggested reading BhagvadGeeta,i.e, Ishta Sadhana. The times were different,the prescription was different. Sanatan Dharma is not a stagnant practice. It is beautiful in its manifolded teachings

Vivekananda was there when India was under the British rule, people were very poor, without much education, without any hope. Vivekanada gave the Wake-UP call to India, and promoted Karma Yoga of Krishna. He promoted Body Building Clubs and Rajasic foods. Revolutionaries are the product of that Karma Yoga. Prabhupad came when India is free, mostly educated, not so poor. He promoted the Bhakti Yoga of Krisna. Both Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga are important along with Gnaya Yoga, which was promoted by Raja Rammohan Roy, who had many similarities with Swami Dayananda, as both accepted only Vedas and Upanishads. The Earth is a globe, so you can start from any direction, you can reach Mayapur or Australia one day, sooner or later. Krishna said in Gita, there are people who worship in their own way but because of their love for their God, they worship ME as I am the One Source of all. This is the essence of many roads to reach God. Please promote unification of the Hindus. Do not create conflicts. There are difference between Vaishnabs and Shaivas, but both of them are Hindus. Ramkrishna-Vivekananda were Shaivas.

I will like to elaborate what you said.😊 This controversy is silly, for it's a common-sense that rape cannot be pleasurable to the victim. But welcome to the age of Kali, where common sense itself is uncommon. There's psychology known as confirmation bias. Ideally one should follow where the evidence leads us, but people with confirmation bias by hook or crook make the evidences to comfirm their already established goal, they force the evidences to comfirm the already imagined conclusion. Because they are already envious of the Hare Krishna Movement, they have the confirmation bias to this extant that such silly allegations are also not rare these days. Srila Prabhupada in his books & recorded talks has 'n' number of times condemned Illicit sex. Even union without the purpose of procreation is condemned by Srila Prabhupada. However, here are few instances of Srila Prabhupada himself admitting that rape is torturous to women- Srila Prabhupada's Lecture on BG 1.36-London, July 26, 1973- **Innocent women, they are very much harassed after the war by the victorious party. You know, the soldiers are given freedom to rape the women." Srila Prabhupada during his Morning Walk -April 20, 1974, Hyderabad - "That Central Park, nobody can walk there. I have heard from many women that they rape. The negros, they capture and rape. Life is unsafe even in a civilized city like New York." It's such a ironic defeat for the miscreants, because there if we check the sentence in it's entirety, Srila Prabhupada in the morning walk clearly said that women like rape 'sometimes'. The miscreants deliberately ignores the term 'sometimes'. The use of the term 'sometimes' by Srila Prabhupada indicates it's an exceptional case. And for that Srila Prabhupada cites the story of a rape case from Calcutta (currently known as Kolkata), The attack wasn't violent. The victim herself in the story was made to admit to the court that she felt some pleasure although she was raped. Who on earth would be that dumb to say that? if it was truly a brutal rape assault? What Srila Prabhupada stressed in there is the psychology of women liking aggressive and forced sex, not necessarily be it rape, because rape is cruel. But rarely, it is also in the form of rape, and therefore Srila Prabhupada uses the term 'sometimes'. And that's what Srila Prabhupada meant to say. Forced sex gives a particular mellow which is liked by the one who is extremely lusty, be it any gender. According to the reports based on search results, and the like, forced sex is one of the most famous pornography on the porn websites. In 1985, Louis H. Janda, an associate professor of psychology at Old Dominion University, said that the sexual fantasy of being raped is the most common sexual fantasy for women. A 1988 study by Pelletier and Herold found that over half of their female respondents had fantasies of forced sex. Btw, There are four regulative principles which needs to be fulfilled by any aspirant looking for initiation from ISKCON on the order of every scriptures as well as His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupad :- No meat eating. No intoxications No Gambling. *No illict sex* So, to give up the tendency of illict sex is there on the basic 4 regulative principles which is supported by every scriptures as well as every Acharyas of Brhama-Madhva-Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya including His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. Lighter food helps in enhancing perception. If you are doing advanced spiritual sadhana then Jain satvik food is the best that doesn't mean you have to eat it all the time. Fish still has less complex molecular structure than other meats. Also, Swami Vivekananda lived in a time when people really needed nutrition. Survival itself was an issue.

मेरे अपने मत के अनुसार कोई भी व्यक्ति पूर्ण नहीं होता यदि वह मानव देह में है तो इसका अर्थ है कि उसमें कुछ तो अपूर्णता रही होगी अतैव हमें कुछ तो मतभेद प्राप्त होगा ही यह विवेक तो हमें करना है कि ज्ञानियों से भी वही बातें ग्रहण की जाए जो ग्रहण करने योग्य अन्य बातों की उपेक्षा कर सकते हैं । अगर हम बुद्ध को देखें तो उनका अहिंसा का आधार प्राणी मात्र में करुणा का भाव था जो कि अपनी जगह बिल्कुल सही था जब चारों तरफ हिंसा हो रही थी तब उन्होंने उपदेश देकर लोगों को पशुता से मुक्त किया और रही बात स्वामी विवेकानंद जी की उन्होंने भारत के वे लोग जो पूर्णता तमोगुण से प्रभावित थे उन्हें रजो गुण व से फिर सतोगुण और अंत में समस्त गुणों के पार ले जाने में अथक प्रयास रत थे । दोनों अपनी जगह पर सही थे बस बात थी काल और परिस्थिति की मेरी व्यक्तिगत राय तो मांसाहार के विरुद्ध ही है पर मैं स्वामी जी की बात को भी समझ सकता हूं । बाकी आपका विवेक 🙏🙏

I have read many comments and saying to all the people giving vegetarian and Non-vegetarian theories. You should not take breath as when you take breath lakhs of bacterias you are eating and they have life. Keep your nonsense theory with you. We should respect all faith. By the end of the day your Karma, Bhakti and Devotion decides everything. From today don't kill Mosquito, don't apply pesticides at home to kill insect, don't take breath so crores of bacteria will survive, don't wear shoes and slippers like mahavir Jain so you can save a lot of small lives, Also don't eat vegetables as all vegetables and fruits have life within. People are saying animals have more complex nervous systems and plants have less complex. But still they have life. More pain or less pain you are giving pain. Plants also cry and it is proven by science .( As per their theory if you steal 1 crore rupees then that is offense and if you steal 20 rupees then that is not an offence. Offence is offense whatever it is more or less) This so called well respected flamboyant Amogh Lila Prabhu had been so much busy in social media that he forgot to go within himself and understand the meaning of Gita and "Jato Maat Tato Path" by Ramakrishna. A saint can never be egoistic and make fun of others. If you make fun of others, other will make fun of you. I am not saying this Lord Krishna had said that. And the way Amogh Lila Prabhu Said if you want to go to Mayapur can you go from any where..? Being a science student I say yes you can go anywhere through any direction you will reach the same point only difference is from different ways it will take more time. In quantum world you can go to a point through any direction but you reach the same point. Like chandrayan 3 , India is reaching to moon in 43 days through different path and nasa made it in 3 days through straight path. This is just basic knowledge. That geat saint Amogh Lila Prabhu does not have basic knowledge and teaching the world how to live. Rest on you.

When u have 2 choices in front of you....you should choose wisely, hence I don't agree with some of your examples. Yes....we have many "maarg" hence we can chose any one. It's best to be vegetarian, but if u don't have any other option it's fine and is acceptable to be a non vegetarian. Even in some marags like tantra maarg its allowed
