I live in South Louisiana, USA and have several bald cypress bonsai. My soil consists of about 80% organics and 20% inorganics. I flood the pots every day. It basically mimics the swamp conditions. The trees LOVE it.

I bought mine from someone in louisiana i live in ny. Since u work with them alot can i ask u why are they soo hard to get them to biforcate? When is the best time to prune to get the secondary branches to biforcate? Does the secondary branch have to be young or old enough to biforcate? Sorry for all the questions but hard to find someone that knows about them

It is now staying indoors and has grown back all of the leaves. It is quite root bound. Can I repot it now or should I wait until spring?? I will be keeping it indoors under plenty of light. Hi, the leaves on my swamp cypress are turning brown and falling off, what causes this issue?
@MadamBonsai2023Ай бұрын
Overwatering Swamp Cypress prefers moist soil, but excessive water can cause roots to rot, leading to brown leaves. Underwatering*: Conversely, drought can also cause brown leaves. Ensure the soil isn't too dry for an extended period. Nutrient deficiency*: Lack of essential nutrients like nitrogen, iron, or magnesium can cause brown leaves. Hard for me to say for not seeing the tree you can email pickup help anne@mdbonsai.com 1. *Inspect the tree*: Look for signs of pests, diseases, or physical damage. 2. *Check soil moisture*: Ensure the soil isn't too wet or dry. nutrients. 4. *Prune*: Remove any dead or damaged branches to prevent the spread of disease. 5. *Monitor environmental conditions*: Protect the tree from extreme temperatures, wind, or frost.
