Looks a lot like the Upper St. Johns River Marsh in Florida. The difference is you can't wade through the marsh here for 2 reasons: 1st) The bottom isn't firm but rather a deep, viscous, glue-like mud that will swallow you up to the neck. 2nd) You'd be attacked by alligators. Nothing attracts a gator quicker than splashing in the water. I'm impressed with the platform you made for camping. In the everglades the Seminole Indians used those to live on and they were called chickees. Great video Chris.

Notice how you didn't see any snakes, Gators or mosquitos? I don't know of a swamp in SC, GA, or Florida that I'd trust sleeping a few feet off the water. I was born in Walterboro SC. Spent many summers there in the swamp of Edisto, Combehee? Green Pond and of course the same here in Florida. We have so many Gators and snakes here that the risk is not worth the adventure. Even the mosquitos are so bad in the tree stand just before dark that you can't stand to sit there even with a thermacell and spray.

Chris , your style of videoing is still my ultimate favorite . You don't make your videos all about you and the sound of your own voice as do the majority , if not " all " of the rest out there . It would be rare for me to watch someone elses videos to the end because they make it all about them and the sound of themselves talking . Yours are spot on Mate . The way you capture the essence of what nature has to offer and the added bonuses of catch and cook has got to be # 1 on youtube . Thank you for sharing with us . God bless you and your family . Which reminds me , the videos that you include your wife in are special and personally would enjoy seeing the two of you more , if not the whole family . It is good to see the bush rebuilding itself. it amazes me how tough the Aussie bush is. Out here nearby to where I live a fire went through the bush and now the trees look comical with all the little branches shooting from the trunk of trees. Of course the native grass trees or black boys are thriving after the burn. I hope to see your new walking stick in future videos! keep up the good work!
