GATORR! Remember Steve unveiling this machine at Santa Pod many moons ago with gasps from the crowd. Hope Steve is still around, he was a great character on the truck show scene back in the 80s and 90s. Good to see the machine has gone to a good home, look forward to seeing it again👍

Tony, I remember the "Pirelli Jet Truck" running at York Dragway.I also remember Steve Murty's original "Bandage Bullet" Jet Truck,which he had at his original workshop in "Croft Mill" in Hebden Bridge.I was part of the team who did the PA systems at the Dragway.Great memories.Many thanks for the chance to remember.

Yes, Steve is still with us. He was the guy who sold me the tank and he was in the video. He was the guy that was with the fire extinguisher when CJ was reversing the tank.

Hi Tony Great video Tony Tony I love it, I absolutely love it, What a machine, What a vehicle the Monster Tank was Built and Owned by a Guy called Eldon Depew of Granite City illinois America and is based on a M84 Personnel Carrier and was built in 1989 and was powered by two 540 CI 10 Litre Chevrolet Engines what horse power I don't no possibly 1500BHP no doubt. The Monster Tank brings back so many memories for me, I remember seeing this vehicle at Peterborough Truckfest 1992 when it was named Full Metal Jacket and on the Sunday that it performed it wasn't performing well it was misfiring like crazy but they did try to do a performance with it but when it landed on the cars with regards to crushing the cars the Monster Tank stalled and wouldn't start they did managed to get it to start and on the Sunday evening the Monster Tank Guys worked several hours to repair it and by Bank Holiday Monday it was up and running a lot better, no doubt what so ever it must of been a fuel or a ignition problem and if I remember right Dave King who was a Radio DJ for Hereward Radio of Cambridge who was working as a Arena Commentator along side Russ Harman took a ride in it. The Monster Tank does look a bit run down but after you have worked your magic on it the Monster Tank will look a million dollars I loved the way you got Trucker Tim to transport the Monster Tank for you Great Stuff. Best of luck with the rebuild and I look forward to seeing it at all the shows I can't to see it. With regards to naming the Monster Tank I have thought of Swamp Thing Fast Trax there was Bigfoot Fast Trax now there is Swamp Thing Fast Trax.

Swamp Trax is a great name for it. If you decide to repaint the chassis,it would look really cool in a deep green, like British Racing green and do the body similar to Swamp Thing. It is amusing to see the Ford emblem in the grill and it is a Chevy Astro van body. Side question: the bare chassis on the shelf; is that a spare chassis or is that a retired chassis that was damaged? I've wondered about that and always forgot to ask. As always, I thoroughly enjoy your videos.
