Loved it! Always nice to see the day trip from a different perspective and through a different pair of eyes. Well edited too 👍 Thanks for a great day out, Alex, looking forward to the next one 😊👍

A really enjoyable walk down Your memory Lane sometimes its the simple things in life that leave the most imprints time spent with loved ones and good friends are what really matters in the big scheme of things and what better than two pals having a paddle together...

Lovely to watch Video Alex, we watched Ricks yesterday and today your video came up in the feed.. Pleasant surprise.. Sorry I haven't followed before as we kind of stop watching videos when we are travelling but we're home for a while and catching up with some viewing. It's so cool to see the videos from two perspectives.. Free burial for Eric, how benevolent LOL. Cheers me dear.. Steve and Michele.. 👍.

Hi Steve, Glad you enjoyed it. Poor Eric, but we saw him right! Are you just taking a quick break from your travels before jetting off again?

Enjoyed that Alex, loved the seagull photobombing you at the end when you left your GoPro on the beach lol. Never been to Swanage but maybe I will one day. Dawlish Warren is my happy place.

Really enjoyed this. I'm here cuz of RickVanMan aka Honest Guy. Alex I do so enjoy your nostalgia. I can so much relate to the memories. One of the reasons I latched on to Honest Guys was for relaxation due to anxiety - all of my family/loved ones are dead (last one passed in 2019) except a brother who's never had time for me and lives many miles away. I am thus untethered from the world, but have learned to adjust and be happy in different ways. I can almost see the places you describe. Thank you for sharing them with us - you make them important and so we feel it too.

Thank you for your lovely comment, and for sharing those personal parts. I'ts always difficult to know exactly where to start with a response, but very sincerely I would say that learning to adjust is a very positive way to embrace the situation. Hopefully we will be able to share some more videos with you, and do keep in touch.

What's better than one trip by a You Tuber to an out-of-season Swanage? How about two? I watched Rick's version last week and your one tonight. There were subtle but essential differences leading both videos to complement and complete one another. You two make a seaside dream team. Can't wait for the next childhood destination you guys visit! The ice cream thing is outrageous. Ice cream doesn't have a season. It's just as, perhaps even more, enjoyable in the winter! Also, at Studland you came back just in time. That seagull looked set to steal your camera, or at least help himself to some valuable airtime.

Railtracks were for stone cars to the railhead, half the stone in London came via Swanage from Purbeck Quarries or Quarr's. They only just moved the trains away fro. Santa fe a season or two ago. William Burt and George Mowlem built the town mostly if you want the history of Swanage start there. Not much has changed except shop titles in my 18 years living here I was 5 on my first visit in 1970

You are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. Thanks for the tips, after visiting so many times, it will be nice to learn more of the history. It's interesting that not much has changed in 18 years.........I think that highlights how long I was away for! I need to get back again soon.
