The gist of the song: She doesn't want him anymore he doesn't get the hints . He's pleading with her to answer the phone. Hallo baby, pick up the phone, the phone, answer the phone I'm begging. He says when he saw her he stopped looking because " it's 'you girl I'm a wanting". He says his heart is aching, cant she see it. He reminds her, he was spending his money on her, buying chips and other things " and you were eating .." ( ie . She did not refuse these treats .. ) . At the same time he whines whilst she was dining on chips ( courtesy of him) he was making do with a solitary meal of local fish at home ( hence the fish in video) . And so he goes on, its her he wants . At the same time begging Mukwano ( friend, buddy) don't take me back to the village( i.e back to square one- the village and all this his entails). She says that she is hurting and he cant see it. That he would leave her to get drunk. She tells him to stop lying about his painful heart. She complains he keeps follows her about and wont leave her alone. Then she deals the killer blow: she says she doesn"t want somebody like him. She wants a man with a land rover, someone who gives her love and comes over. A man who takes over ..etc And interspersed with baby,darling..pick the phone.

Those saying it's broken English are mistaken. This is Uglish = Ugandan English. It's original English pronounced in Ugandan local dialect. Nearly all of the Ugandan 52 or so languages have consonants pronounced with vowel. So "liking" = likingi, "loving" = lovingi, "smoking" = smokingi
