I'm new to the circuit board and I have a very stupid question. What is the name/term of that flat ribbon cable from 10:51 to 11:06?

Hello thanks foe stopping buy. You actually named it correctly. It is called a ribbon cable. Good job. And no question is stupid ever. It's how we learn. I'm all self taught as well. It's a fun hobby just be careful poking around inside electrical items. Make sure power is disconnected first.

I haven't tried it yet as the original HDD still works. Id imagine it will though.
