The Burning World is super underrated, but the whole ordeal of making it and being signed to a major label really took it's toll on Gira. There's a great interview with him around the end of the Angels of Light era where he briefly touches on it.

I'm glad it failed, though. It was the "cannon event" for Swans. Without The Burning World's failure, Swans would have just been another sell out band.

I used to listen music many hours per day just to end with one album from them.Nowadays are highly recommended Naevus from UK.This is my favourite track from Swans too

i hear this song every morning from Anonymous ( in combination of White Light ) but this is the first time seeing it performed. it grows on you and I don't take this footage lightly. I am a real Swans fan.

Yeah, MCA and those other major labels, they sign a band because they like their sound, and then they want to change them to make them more listener friendly or something, only to turn out shit product, blame the band and dump them. I'd never want to deal with a big label.
