You skipped over "Public Castration"? That album is a watershed in heavy music. It embodies the sheer brutality and primal nature of the band during that period.

Nice collection Jack,I'm a relative newcomer to Swans so lot of catching up to do.I missed out on the debut ep when it was reissued for RSD.That box set looks great,was a bit pricey for me.The Seer and To Be Kind are monster.

+darkdubh There are copies of the EP on ebay for about £12 if you're interested. also you can get White light and love of life separately for about £20 ish now so you don't have to buy the boxed set. Thanks for watching!

Hi, those records must have costed you a fortune ¡ I tried to buy some of them but I had to settle for the CDs; Children of God, Holly Money, etc.. I had the Seer and the one with the baby on it, prior to watching this. However I was lucky to find two of the Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire records on vinyl, the ones your showed on other video, and I have almost all the synth pop records. The Krautrock records are really hard to find in my country except for Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream..keep the good work ¡

+Jack Stiles I know is an expensive record but you have something really great ¡ Soundtracks for the Blind needs a reissue too; thats a really good record..well at least I got Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire at a reasonable price, still can't belive it..and the synth pop records and Kraftwerk I got kind of cheap..and lots of other stuff too..I'm looking forward to upload some videos like yours but I will do them in spanish..still figuring out how to do them..

I haven't listened to that latest Swans record but I've heard really good things about that record. I like a lot of Gira's solo albums too. Always enjoy watching your videos, we have similar tastes. Take care.

Good stuff, they reformed 2010. "Burning world" gets a bad rap due to Gira himself disowning the work, it's actually a beautiful record, give it a go

it;s pronounced je-raaaa as in giraffe. i know this becuse i went to the launch of "the consumer" and he introduced himself; i agree best band ever, but i like them really when they started to to get a bit melodic; Children of God onward really, and i used to be in a band loosely to do with probe records, btw i really like the album artwork. burning world was the 1st one i discovered, really like it, but i am sure it would have been even better if the record company had allowed him to produce it himself. 10 songs for another world.
