Hey everyone - I had great fun creating these, and I recommend you give it a go - especially since we're mostly all inside in quarantine! They would make a great gift! Don't forget to tag me with your creations, I'd love to see them.

I gotta say it... SPLENDID GOLD! I love that you used the gold as a drybrush on the branch-leaf one. And the Fleur De Lis charm is such a cute addition too!

Lol, that gold paint is so beautiful.. and very aptly named SPLENDID GOLD. The fleur de lis charm was the whole inspiration for that design, and after I'd done it I really wished I'd added some charms to the tree one too! Next time!

I’ve never seen this done but you made a great job and they look like proper ‘ancient’ goblets. I love the Fleur de Lis motif! Very Great Hall and quaffing vibes.

Thanks - I think the Fleur De Lis is my favourite too :-)

Great! Beautiful! But how can I put the glasses in the oven? Is it dangerous? I mean at 110 °C ...
@Swanstardesigns4 жыл бұрын
It was fine for me. It's quite a low temp. If you're a bit worried about it I'd say try putting a wine glass in the oven before you put the design on it so if it breaks you don't lose all your hard work.

Hello, I am a librarian and I'm considering creating ;this as a craft kit for our teens that can not come to the library due to covid. How much of that brick of clay did you use to make your goblet?
@Swanstardesigns4 жыл бұрын
I think it was less than half of the block for both glasses. It will depend on the design of course 👍
@palreinhart19164 жыл бұрын
@@Swanstardesigns Thank you so much. So I would estimate about 4 goblets per block of clay. You are amazing!!

question...about how much of the 1lb block of polymer clay did your first glass take...roughly?
@Swanstardesigns4 жыл бұрын
I think maybe a third or a quarter of the pack I used..? I’m not really sure sorry.

Liquid sculpy you can also use to clean your surface of the clay, do put away the fingerprints...
@Swanstardesigns4 жыл бұрын
AH I didn't realise that - great tip, thank you!

Look at darkest raven designs and nerdforge. The last ones did also goblets...

And then I realized that you already know nerdforge... sigh.... lol

And for future reference, according to some googling, using some 99% isopropyl alcohol on a brush should help get rid of fingerprints :) You could also go in with sandpaper after baking before painting, but with how intricate these designs are that probably wouldn't work as well.
@Swanstardesigns4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was really under prepared and I should've researched it more before starting, lol. Especially not having baking paper, that was annoying.

I like them, but can't you use a knife to scrape them from the surface? My heart cracked every time you have to take them of your mat...
