Hi Rick thanks for doing this. I remember that as a child we could buy all sorts of ex military equipment from a place called The Radio Centre, in Hurts Street, Birmingham, England. I didn't really have a good understanding back then but I loved everything technical. They had number 19 sets stacked up all over the place, one on top of top of the other as high as a man could reach. They were very cheap but still more than a child could afford. I remember they had "crystal ovens" for sale, which I really didn't understand back then but I clearly remember reading the label on the box. One of your opening comments about a change in temperature influencing the frequency took me back some 65 years to a box full of crystal ovens and the smell of the old Radio Centre. Thinking about theses very small differences in frequency reminds us that precision costs money and I wonder if the crystal in the frequency counter or those on the bench are more precise? If you watched that old video that I told you about, I wonder if you fancy 'trimming' the crystal to the right frequency, Hi Hi. 73's . . . Andy GW0JXM

Hey Andy, I spent many hours taking radios and amplifiers apart and then putting them back together again, when I was in grade school. For a science project in the 8th grade I had a record player hooked up to a flashlight. When the beam shown on a photocell and amplifier the music would play. I have watched the video Crystals go to War in 1943 a few times. I wonder how they are made today. Thanks for the link. A friend sent me a link to Starlink. I think you will find it interesting. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6SVgpavmMyajbcsi=dweLTH_w4Wr8aqAD 73 .... KD4PJI

I'm eagerly awaiting for my requested videos on CMOS lr1553 or lr1551 analog switch. They're highly used in 360 camera in cars for switching between videos.

I tested the same 1MHz Crystals in lab and find 84 pf - 500 pf work work the same but replace it with 100 uh . 1Mhz crystal oscillate (Colpitts Oscillator) is very stable . Like the video🥲
