Artist Studio live interview I asked about Biscuit, but my question was overlooked. Which is totally fine - there was lots of eager questions! ♥So I was happy to hear you mention him again here. This is awesome Ceri, I can't wait to watch the rest. I loved hearing about Biscuit too, my beautiful go,den lab by passed just recently, a little bit after he'd turned 14, and I miss him terribly so it was lovely to hear about Biscuit, also when I used to brush him I'd take the fur out of the brush and pop it in nooks in the trees and the birds would take it for their nests, the ultimate recycling. Thanks for another awesome video Ceri 😀

46:41 grey board is actually a specific kind of chip board used in bookbinding here in the US. It’s more sturdy and heavy than standard chipboard. I’m sure there are other names for it.

It came out absolutely stunning as always. I am about to try out my gel plate for the first time, but just the other day, despite having watched a ton of videos, discovered that it isn´t normal tissue paper that is used. i didn´t after 6 months of research get that it is something called wet strength tissue paper. I then googled and oh my it is sooo expensive. 10 papers was 109 SEk on amazon and couldn´t even find it elsewhere. It does not work at all with the normal so called tissue paper? Does it just become like mashed potato when wet? Oh my, I need to maybe start with acrylic or watercolor paper that I do have. I just wish I would have known earlier. I have gathered supplies and info for about 6 months and I don´t know how I never picked up on the wet strength paper... I suppose I should be happy I didn´t just go for it and actually learned about it before I messed up my gel plate. How about japanese rice paper that I also bought a lot of?? Btw thoroughly enjoyed your interview on Pm yesterday. What a marveloous day it would be to share a cup of tea and talk to you. I find you very fascinating and extremely talented. I’ve used normal gift wrap tissue on my plate but I make sure the paint layer is not thick then I put the tissue down and pick it up again almost immediately. I’ve never used rice paper but others have, I suggest being quick with that also so the fibres don’t get saturated. You can use deli paper. Basically practice by using magazine pages or junk mail. Only use the more expensive supplies when you’ve gained a little experience. .

@@CeriGriffiths Thank you so much Ceri! I will most definately play around first and get comfortable with my gel plate with some inexpensive stuff. I ended up buying a few carnival wet strentght tissue papers I will get to when I have tried with other papers firts. To my delight the papers where big and when I cut them into 4 I ended up with a stack of them. I did momogami recently and used normal tissue paper and ricepaper and that was a disaster, they became like wet snowballs so I doubt that ricepaper would work on a gel plate but maybe skilled people can make it work. I hope you have a great rest of the week. ⭐

LOVE this idea! I bought an “adult” coloring book at the dollar tree filled with huge butterflies, mandalas, etc. that will be perfect for this! You are so incredibly awesome!
