I just subscribed to your channel thanks to the recommendation from John Israel and I must say for you to get that coil and then the heater up into the attic all by yourself was pretty DAMN IMPRESSIVE!!! I was honestly doubting you at first but I was proven wrong! Love your videos and work as well as John's - y'all are very professional - keep em comin'!!

Ah, the challenges of being a one-man show. Patience is certainly a virtue. I never rush or put time restrictions on a job so I share the "how many days does it take to install a small furnace" with you! Lol Great job, looks great keep it up!

+Gary Gleisberg Thanks. I like not having to stress about it. I usually get the equipment prices correct. The labor is my major unknown but because I work for myself it doesn't matter much. Just work until its done lol.

No smart ellic comments coming from me ...im afraid of this guy...actually i have a question ...how would I install a water to air heat exchanger powered by my outdoor wood boiler on this unit ....come in from the side of the plentum on the side with entry tubes horizontal or come in from the top with the tubes vertical
@joeshearer12479 жыл бұрын
Final product looks great. I love the pump up installation device I will be using that one for sure. You should start checking the flue draft on your systems too. I know like we need one other thing to do.
@ComfortPlusHeatingandCooling9 жыл бұрын
+Joe Shearer Yes, If it were going into a chimney or some place I couldn't see I would have drilled the B-Vent. Because it was four pieces and I had it completely apart and inspected it I felt okay with it. LOL it had no choice but to draft! Thanks for watching man!
@joeshearer12479 жыл бұрын
+ComfortPlus Heating and Cooling it looked like it ran horizontal without much vertical, But with such a small furnace it probably was still negative but I bet it was barely negative. I'm not trying to sound like I know it all about combustion and venting because there is a lot left for me to learn.
@ComfortPlusHeatingandCooling9 жыл бұрын
+Joe Shearer First time I go for service I'll check it and post. The lateral slope is greater than 1/4" per foot. The vertical did need to be 1' taller to meet the 5' min height but the old furnace had performed great for more than 20 years lol.

This is very helpful! I mean... I am trying to purchase a property that has a furnace located in an attic. However, it only has heating and it's been used for more than 20 years. I was wondering how it can be replaced and things like that. It's really hard work by looking at the videos. Hopefully, I will be able to find a good contractor to deal with the furnace and central system!

Great install with all the details. I must say you proved yourself a one man show in other videos as well but this was impressive. I am going to have my ac changed during the next quarter and our contractor is recommending plastic secondary drain instead galvanized. Any from your end. We are in New York. Will it handle the temperatures fluctuations during summer and winter?

where did you get the app for gas meter. l think thats cool. I order the parts I talk to you about (metering vavle) when I got it I couldn't screw them together ,here one side was right hand threads, and one was left hand threads, had to reorder the part. many thanks for the help I hope to get it back together soon. it took 8 supply houses be for someone would order parts. everyone said put a new one in.
@ComfortPlusHeatingandCooling9 жыл бұрын
+EUGENE KAISER Hope you find both parts soon! The gas meter clock I was using is in the iManifold app. The app is very useful even if you don't own an iConnect or iManifold.

Very nice looking job Chuck. Was the emergency drain pan fitting capped or did you run a drain out?
@ComfortPlusHeatingandCooling9 жыл бұрын
I glue a cap in all mine. I want the homeowner to know that there's water in it when the pan switch kills the ac. Hopefully the line switch would catch it first and not get the insulation in the unit wet. I installed the capped fitting from inside the pan.
