Mc and metz were my idols (still are) when I was 11 years old my dad went to Metzgers shop he had in Menifee and had him call me and say what's up I was shocked and overjoyed I was talking to my idol. He invited me to go to his shop so my dad took me and metz hooked me up with a sticker kit and a bunch of stickers and beanie. Thanks for the memories God Father!

Mike is such a rad guy and a total legend. I remember when I was like 19 I played in a metal core band and we got asked to play for the grand opening of Mezger studios. After the show he liked us enough we got to come out to his house and play for his birthday party. One of my favorite memories growing up.

When Metzger went to jump the fountain that Robby barely made, and flipped over it, that was unbelievable. I can’t imagine being Gary, Evel, or Robby and watch that jump, talk about taking the wind out of your sales.the man is so humble I don’t think he has any idea how much impact he has , still on riding people who love riding dirt bikes.

My all time favourite rider, Metz has always been the most influential rider of the 90s for me. Always had the biggest tricks and natural smooth riding style. Was definitely a character 🤘🏼

Man that’s wicked hearing him say he was so heavily influenced by TLD. Always saw the similarities like the eyeball and flames but just thought that was a 90’s cultural thing. I’ve got a bunch of TLD lids on my wall. One of the 3 McQueen helmets has Troy’s signature. Unless I’m forgetting something but why in the hell hasn’t TLD done a Metzger edition, man that would be special and makes sense.

My last big crash was 2017 and some days usually when it's raining for some reason, I still lay on the couch all day overcome with pain. But i still own 3 dirt bikes and ride every chance i get, It's not just a sport it's a way of life.

I never was into freestyle but always pulled for Mike the racer. In '99 he and Donald Upton rode hondas with custon IMS graphics (days before custom graphics) and wore warpt gear. They looked bad ass tho I dont think Mike raced that year I think he broke a femur before supercross. I miss the days of cool mx racers
