Swapnil Pai has been collecting Anthuriums for more than 2 Years now. I still remember when I asked him If he was available to showcase his greenhouse setup and his answer was, 'I am always available for Anthuriums'.
He has a diverse collection of Anthuriums and we will get to see how he managed to Instal fan pad system and how exactly it works along with his Anthurium collection.

From Swapnil - Hey hi , I make my own mixes which vary for different plant families but the base for all of them is the same .The mix contains cocochips , LECA , pumice , perlite and Charcoal.I dont have any fixed proportions and I mix until it feels perfectly airy with great drainage and doesnt clump up when wet and distingrates on its own . This mix i primarily use for my anthuriums ,philodendrons and some sensitive monsteras and begonias. I use this as the base and add some sand and cocopeat to make it a bit more water retentive and use it for alocasias. I do have some plants in red soil too .All the plants in all these different medias are doing well at my place because the conditions are very much constant throughout seasons. The humidity is always above 80% and the temps are between 22 - 30C(according to the season) . Theres plenty airflow as well which further help in the drying out if these mixes and preventing rot . The anthuriums and philos get watered more frequently compared to the alocasias and the plants in red soil . When nutrition is concerned i feed my plants slow release balanced 13:13:13 with a combination of foliar spray of NPK 19:19:19 and seaweed solution . Hope this helps 😁

Hey hi , i think the comment i originally made is jot visible so writing it again . I make my own mixes which vary slightly for different plant families. But the base for all are the same . I dont have any fixed proportions i mix until i feel its perfectly airy had great drainage and doesnt clump up when wet and disintegrates on its own. This mix i primarily use for anthuriums and philodendrons and some finicky monsteras. I use this base and make it slightly more retentive using sand and cocopeat and use it for my alocasias . I have some plants which came in red soil and have been in it after each repot . The conditions matter alot and all the plants in all these different mixes are doing well . The conditions at my place stay really humid in the temp ranges of 22-30 degrees and theres plenty airflow as well. So things dryout and dont stay too soggy or wet for long . For nutrition i use a combination of slow release fertilizer and foliar spray of NPK19:19:19 and seaweed solution every 15 days . Hope this helps😁
