Swapping a Subaru Justy engine in 9 minutes 4K

I had 2 of those carb ones, my friend had the later injection one, less reliable. I also had the Sumo van with the same engine, my wife hated it, really hated it. :( :)

@@Fredholm2 changed to injector about 1995 I think. I loved my Sumo. My wife hated it. It was awesome, really good off road too, got to be careful. The exhaust got too hot though in dry summer grass, it is so short and squashed into a small space, really dangerous haha.

I want to make him for off road, but dont know what engine should i put in. Want to lift it too and put bigger tires. If u have some advice ill appreciate that.

Sorry I mean the 1.2l 75hp mpfi engine.. swapped mine yesterday.. One I have still in stock.. With all that it needs to make it work..

Do you know if the Suzuki Swift GTI mk1 engine fit in the mk1 Justy? The GTI swift engine is a BEAST and would really do the Justy justice

Yeah man i really wanna make a budget hot hatch out of one of these one day. I saw someone EFI convert the 1.2 carburetor engine, a small single turbo would probably work wonders but i wanna go the NA way. I wonder if there are any 12 valve dual overhead camshaft heads that will fit that block 🤔 My search continues. Btw great video bro, imma sub forsure!

My justy fuel pump doesn’t seem to stop priming on key turn. Is yours the same?

Mine primes for about 5 seconds with key on, then stops. Hope that helps:)

@@pasztorba To clarify, both engines in this video are 1.2😊but the one that goes in is slighty newer. But it came with 1.0 So I switched to 1.2 a few years ago. Apart from a bit of wiring and that the 1.2 has electronic ignition, with it's component, ecu/controllbox and so on, it's pretty straight forward. If
