I have 3a-4a so some parts I smooth the gel down and it will curl up on its own but some parts I have to either scrunch or I have to denman twirl it or else it will dry straight. No heat damage just a head full of different hair.

My hair reacts well to silicone and sulfates. My hair is almost waist length and i have 4a/4b hair. At the end of the day, everybody hair reacts differently to ingredients, so do what works for u.

My go to shampoo & conditioner are herbal essences hello hydration. Does have sulfates and silicones but honestly doesn’t strip nor dry out micros I can use it three times a week and I’m just fine.

I find scrunching for 3c-4c hair causes frizz. I think anyway. That’s my experience anytime I’ve tried it. Plus the shrinkage is HELLA real when you scrunch if you have a tighter curl.

Dippity-do is my holy grail. I've had the hardest time finding it since Bianca's video. I usually order from Naturallycurly.com, and they've been sold out for weeks. I tried Amazon...talk about price gouging ! They want 4x as much money. I did finally find it on a beauty supply site called House of Beauty World .com. for a comparable price to Naturally Curly. Also, if you live in Texas, Dippity-do is available at some HEB stores.

Takira Thompson - I’ve used the dippity do gel and in my opinion it needs a leave in otherwise I don’t get any bounce and it just feels...sticky. The hold lasted pretty well, I got about 3-4 days. It’s a learning curve product for sure. It’s one of my favourite gels for finger coils but not so much for wash and go’s since it can be hard to get just right

I’m 3C and scrunching is NOT my friend lol love these looks on both of you! The Dippity Do gives me great voluminous results, but obviously doesn’t last as long as Wetline since it’s a softer hold. Good to have different options for different styling needs! I’m not a huge fan of my day 1 wetline hair so this is perfect for when I have to come thruuu after washing 💁🏽‍♀️

Happy to see you two do a video together! I follow you both. I do think that your shade translated better on this video with the zoom-ins etc. lol! Your hair came out shiny!! You two had completely opposite styling goals, but it is helpful to see for those of us with different textures and goals. I like that Bianca doesn’t use silicones like me. My goal as a 4a/b will always be to apply as much product as possible everywhere. ;-)

I have 3C hair (maybe even some 4A). I scrunch only to make sure I’ve put in enough (the squelch sound is your friend), but then I take some more gel and smooth it down otherwise I’ll get too many fly-aways

I tried this gel because It’s Bianca’s fav. I personally didn’t like it on my 3b/3c hair. The hold is there but it doesn’t contain frizz. My wash and go didn’t last long either. It felt like I had hair spray on my hair. I’ve learned that I just have to stick to Eco or Wetline.

I know I am and always commenting on videos even if they’re old but my hair type if I have to type (something I hate doing bc it’s the most irrelevant thing) is type 3. I love both gels. I use leave in conditioners sometimes (for the technical ppl I use them depending on my hair needs). I section/change my hair routine as it changes (length, color [this includes going grey bc grey hair has different needs], desired style, etc). Love both of your videos. I’ve been watching KZbin for a few decades bc I love hair, beauty, music and other ppl that share that love.

Both of you look great! 🤗👍 I have a mix of curl types, but mostly very tight curls (so 3b and 3C, etc). I tried out the Dippity-Do mousse and Dippity-Do Gelee, and …. while it came out ok, it doesn’t seem to hold for long, especially in this humid Florida weather. The gelee is just not really holding well. Maybe my leave-in or the Dippity-do mousse is softening the gelee too much, or I need to apply more of the gelee product to get a harder hold….? So far, I get better results and longer holds from other gels like Ouidad Heat & Humidity Strong Hold gel and Camille Rose Curl Maker. I’ll keep trying out the Dippity-Do for another week to see if it gets better with practice on my hair. I hope it gets better! I wanted to like Dippity-Do after hearing so much about it. 😔 As for scrunching, I’ll do it for most of my hair, but some days I don’t always need to, depending on the mood of my hair, since I always get curls regardless and I tend to have a lot of shrinkage.

Dippity do I love I find it very light when I first put it on but after it dry it has stretch and hold I was like oh my god and I too have 3b/3c/4a. I was beautiful I just wish it had a bigger container..

I feel like i have a mix of 4a, 3c, and 3b in the front. I personally rake product in my hair, brush the section with a denman brush, finger coil some pieces in the front, shingle some pieces on top by the crown, spray some extra water at the end and then scrunch. It sounds like a lot but styling my hair is my fave part of wash day.

I finally received the dipidy do gel and wow 🤩! Idk why my curls loved this formula better. I like both but I gotta say dipidy do wins. Down side of it is it’s a small container. Other than the size I love it ❤!
