Swapping RVs! Travel Trailer to Motorhome | DIDN’T Go As Expected!

We had a buyer lined up for our Travel Trailer and Truck and we had a Fleetwood Discovery picked out and waiting for us, but when we got to Arizona the owner of the Fleetwood Discovery passed away. (We did not record this part). When we got to Camp Verde we had to look for another RV. We also need a new vehicle to flat tow.
In the days leading up to the Big Swap we found our Ford Edge that was set up to be towed, and the next day we found the Fleetwood Revelation. But how do you swap rigs when you live in the current one full-time?
We booked a campsite and a cabin at a KOA (the cabins at the Thousand Trail campground was already booked). We did not realize the cabins at the KOA were smaller (by a lot). But it was ok, it was just for the day. But things did not go according to the plan. Things took longer. It snowed in Virginia, which held up our Wire Transfer, the car rental company did not have a rental for us even though we booked one ahead of time, and the cabin was way too small.
But God works everything to our good. Our friends Ryan and Tiffany of the The Party of 6, knew what we were up to. Ryan found a hotel minutes from the campground and arranged our stay for us. The wire transfer on our Ford Edge went through and the previous owners brought it to us. Jeremy was able to get a U-haul Van and we moved out of the cabin and moved to the hotel. Our bank opened a half day the next day and processed our wire transfer. We were able to move into our new Motorhome. Five days felt like a lifetime. When we put this video together we tried to capture the real moments. We were tired and overwhelmed, but filled with Gratitude that God was going before us and working things out on our behalf.
It was a lot. We will probably will do things very differently next time. But we got to see so much in the process. Those will be upcoming videos.

I think we’ve been more aware of the people God puts in our lives in this RV Life. You never know who you are going to be camping next to and how their story is exactly what you need to hear at the time.
