Mumbai will remain as the economic powerhouse of our country for the foreseeable future, but its contribution to india's gdp will definitely decrease from its current percentage 6.1% to probably half of it 3% within a couple of decades...because a lot of cities(including many tier 2 cities too)are aggressively growing..Mumbai more or less was a solo player in industrialization for a long time...but it got changed in the last couple of decades and the trend will continue in the future

Connectivity, connectivity and connectivity. Get it right and mumbai will grow. BTW, am from Pune and the afternoon nap story is not there in Pune. Its more of a hearsay that having any truth. 😊

depends on where you mean afternoon nap doesn't exist. it still exists for shops esp., at old Pune areas which was the case earlier as well. It wasn't true for industry & services then and now
Seems a very interesting info. can you share me the source

No talk about North of Mumbai? .... We have ample land in vasai virar and upward which is part of main land ... and Mumbai people already living in those areas .... Also there is no barrier which is hard for expansion

The proposal for metro lines sent during the Congress government, We can't give credit to only Fadnvis. All project facing financial issues and MMRDA facing cash burn.
