This is the ninth Geetham we teach beginners who have completed the basic Swara Lessons like

Sapta Taala Alankars ( • Sapta Taala Alankars )
Geethams help students of Carnatic music progress to learning Sahitya (that is lyrics) along with the Geethams also introduce us to different talams
.Swarams (which are the notes). It is recommended that you always learn the Swaram before moving on to the Sahityam.
We have structured our video accordingly.
Practicing the Geetham in all 3 speeds will give command over the raga and good voice control.

I don't exactly understand how the gamaka is during the Aarohanam for the note Ma. I tried to listen and what I can hear is you are starting from Ga going up to Pa but i can't hear a Ma. I'm trying to replicate your singing on my violin to learn the raaga and this is how I am able to. Can you explain what exactly is it you are doing? It sounds very nice

Hi madam. Very nice way of explanation.. i have a small doubt in this raga. You mentioned chatushrithi rishabham in arohana and suddha rishabha in avarohana. Is it the right way? Does both swaras are present in this raga?

Ma'am, I have a question. In the opening line swaras, it S , N P | D D | S , || but I hear you singing S , S P | D D | S , ||. Am I missing the swarasthaana for N? The sound is exactly like upper Shadja

Kamboji's original Nishadam is the lower Nishadam(Kaishiki). However in some special phases - like S,NP ie in Avarohana order when elongated S is used and D is skipped between N and P, the higher variant of N(Kakali) is used which is closer to S. Hope that clarifies.
