Swaravandya Purandara

Swaravandya Purandara is a composition choreographed on the Swaras, Alankara's and the Pillari Geethe composed by Sangeetha Pithamaha Sri Purandara Dasa.
The saptha swaras ( Sa , ri, ga , ma, pa, da ni) take their birth from purandara mantapa ... and blossom like flower and spread their aroma around the world . The different raga scales ( arohana & avarohana) radiate soothing melodies to give peace and love to the world.
These saptha swaras are the foundation steps for every aspiring dancer / musicians . The methodology was laid out by Sri Purandara Dasa thousands of years ago which is still followed by all the great gurus to teach their students.
Sri Purandara dasa lived very humble and pious life seeking food "dasa vrutti" because believed in philosophy of 'kere neeranu kerege chelli ... '
