I’ve always been convinced that the game has some kind of hidden mechanic or algorithm that forecasts a moment or situation when a survivor would want to get off the gen, and sends a skill check at that exact moment.

The bad thing about autodidact is the RNG. I have tried to be more active and get stacks, when it works it saves the match but it often only works 1/6 games and it heavily depends on what the killer is doing

Botany or Empathy could work well

I would use empathy, not botany. Botany makes the heal speed quicker which will make it harder to get skill checks. You only wanna run one or the other
