Swarovski Optik dG review

I have had the pleasure of testing Swarovski Optik's new dG with my family here in Canada. A monocular with a built in camera and WiFi, it sends images taken directly to your phone or tablet. Once there, users can go directly to the Merlin Photo ID app, where the app is able to very quickly analyze the image and identify the bird. I tested it out with my children in the field - well, lake shore! And if they can use it anyone can! The dG is very simple to use, lightweight and superb quality. We found it very easy to use and it worked in perfect synchrony with the Merlin ID app. Even very distant birds were identified correctly by the app.
Of course, it won't be for everyone, but it really does work incredibly well and both of my children had so much fun using it.
