Swatching the 24 Watercolour Daniel Smith Palette: How much do I like these and were they worth it?

Quinacridone purple (PV55) is probably my favourite Daniel Smith paint. It's like an even more blue quin violet. Really intense and beautiful. I love mixing it with carbazole violet to get just about any violet hue with high chroma and no granulation. Really handy for botanicals.

Sonya! I too have a stupid😅😅😅 amount of PB29's and PB28's! Indian Yellow became my favorite Yellow in 2024, along with PR255 and PR242 for my favorite Reds!

Hi Sonya, Happy New Year to you and your family. The swatches are very nice but I particularly like the scarlet. I only have a few Daniel Smith paints but I would definitely recommend the cascade green, it’s really lovely. Dee

If you like autumn colours then the DS quinacridone burnt scarlet is a must. Youll need to grab it whilst its available as its another discontinued pigment, PR206.
