I love hearing your medical tips, just got to the smart goals. I guess i've been working my way through these sorts of goals in a natural intuitive way since Nov 2021. Although I set yself targets I have had to learn acceptance of what I am able to achieve and flexibility to find the correct path and the right timing. I look at my head injury with a new perspective than I did 3 yrs ago and differently than I did even 2 yrs or 1 yr ago. I'm eternaly grateful for the artists like yourself having posted your videos on this platform, it allowed me to find art in my own moment of health crisis. It reminds me of the synchronicity of having spotted your channel at the very beginning and the connection between health and art that you bring to your channel. Thank you, Allison. 🤍🩷💛

Allison while enjoying your art I felt a deep appreciation for you as you were talking about your patients. I am also a registered nurse turned artist. It is amazing how art can help our mental health. Good luck to you in all of your ventures. Blessings for your future ❤

Thank you for your message about how you used to help your patients. I am at a point in my life where I am through with medical intervention (many surgeries, PT, and various doctors over the past several years). I am not taking really good care of myself, and I've had to come to the acceptance that, for now at least, is okay. I've fought hard for more years than I can remember to take care of myself, and this last surgery has been so hard to come back from. I am 68 years old and never want another surgery (unless it's a life and death situation) again, at least for now. I had planned to have at least 2 more, but I've taken those off the plate. At first I was afraid that life finally got the best of me and that it won. But after reflection, I realize that this is just a quiet time in my life. It's okay to set boundaries for myself, even with my medical team. I can no longer fight hard, but i can do one thing for myself every day. I can take baby steps towards my own well-being. And those baby steps can be (and are different) every day. The most important thing for me is to keep up my art practice. I've pulled away from professional work and am now doing whatever my heart needs to do. Today, the one thing I've done for myself turned into 2 - a gentle water fitness class at the gym and a trip through the grocery store to get some veggies and other food to help me transition beyond the prepared stuff. I am allowing my PCP to do my yearly check-up tomorrow, and allowed the image tech to take a mamo yesterday. How much in the way of success I feel I am going to be? Fairly sure - about 90% I regularly connect with my grandchildren, we adopted 2 kittens last year and have been training them to come on camping trips with us. I say 90% because I now that life changes rapidy, and sometimes behone my contrl. I've connected online with others who have chronic conditions and have turned to their art. Sorry that this is a novel. I just wanted to let you know that your words were important to me today and really validated that I am on my own path I take it one day at a time - one decision at a time.

This is a beautiful message (novel, I love it!) to wake up to and clearly it has impacted others before I've even seen it. Thankyou for watching, and sharing, and encouraging me through your story of your health and personal journey and most importantly following your heart. Your words have an impact too - thank you Tracie. xx

I love your little creations at the beginning of the video. Your art poetry is gorgeous at any size! 🩷 I was thinking just the other day about the birds and that it is time for me to paint some more. 😊
