Actually, I really appreciate seeing the before. I feel like a failure that my hair looks almost straight when I go more than 4-5 days between wash days (my life has massively changed recently, so I leave the house twice a month these days. I worked through quarentine, so now I feel like I'm making up for the extreme homebody lifestyle everyone else got to do 2 years ago!)

My hair straightens out a lot 2 by the end of the week if I don't refresh. I just used some light hold products and air dried, by day 2 it only had a few bends to it, mostly 2A by that point.

So...I went for my 3rd curly cut a little over a week ago and I have been on the struggle bus ever since. I got exactly the cut that I asked for (took off length and cut in a modified shag) and my hair just will *not* behave. My _lazy side_ is even lazier and it doesn't want to hold the curl like it did before. *Why* am I telling you all of this?! 😆 Because I'm going to use a couple of the techniques that you showed us to see if I get better results and I just wanted to say *thank you* for taking the time to make this video! ❤️ You are the best!

Funny that you said you were heat styling. I just had a dream last night that I flat ironed my hair, for the first time sense going natural. I did one side of my head straight in my dream. Screamed in horror and ran right to the nearest source of water lol. I hated it so much and scense waking have found it quite humorous 😆. Good info on curl smith and it being well balance. My hair used to love protein so much. Though now after 2 years of nurturing it back to health. It really no longer tolerates half as much protein. My hair gets so stiff and my ends break. When this first began I thought oh wow I need more protein....boy was I mistaken. Have sense had to cut allot out to save my hair. Two years in and the lessons never end 😅
@lynnwiiliams85752 жыл бұрын
I actually use these products in reverse order from you. I apply the gel first and then the foam. The foam has better humidity fighting ingredients than the gel so I frizz less when I use it on top. Also, being very fine haired I like that the foam adds more volume and lift. When I use the gel on top I get less volume. So these two can be used in either order.

I am interested in starting the curly girl routine for my wavy hair. The issue is I need to wear my hair tied back for my job as I work in a restaurant. The most common for me is a French braid but I also do ponytails, buns (usually braided) and sometimes just have the sides pulled back with the hair twisted and then the rest pulled back in a low pony tail or braid. Will the constant tying back 5 ( sometimes 6) days a week make it harder to start my formation of curl clumps for the first time?

So, are ACV rinses not a good idea because they mess with the salt bonds of the hair?
@SwavyCurlyCourtney2 жыл бұрын
Unless you know with absolute certainty the exact pH of the Apple cider vinegar rinse you are using, You run the risk of putting something way too acidic on your hair. This is also why it’s not a good idea to use baking soda on your hair.
