That book is so detailed it's insane. It's literally all in there.

One of the best music biographies I've ever read. I was born in Port Arthur and learned some things about the early days that I had never heard about. Very underrated piece of work.

I met his son Corey at his grandma’s home right after Pimp c passed away. He was selling memorabilia but things like the Trill Head Gear.. I couldn’t afford it.. but I remember purchasing a mixtape from him.

my story is simple with pimp..fell in love with his music at around the time king koopa did his song "True"..first song from texas that i heard..then stumbled across bun for the first time and got knowledge he was in a group..researched their music and heard Dirty Money for the first time..this was 2007 i believe. Thats when i was hooked. Bun was a beast on the track..but there was something about pimp that really got me. Around that time I lost my paps..he jet..kinda had to..and i used pimp to help me get through that..his messages made me turn from a teenager to a man. He became my father essentially. And noone was fucking with the south at the time musically..esp pimp with that country ass twang.. but i held my flag up strong. Now look..everybody trill all of a sudden..ha! Long Live Pimp C. - Mushohi from Nairobi, Kenya.

@@charlescarter4608 I'm from Texas! Dallas to be exact. You're right. Pimp let everyone know during a live show at Reunion Arena with Cash Money Rec who also performed that Jive Records was playing with him and Bun! Dirty Money dropped shortly after. The album was leaked and bootlegged! Both Classics though. But Dirty Money was a whole situation on its own!

I get mad when I hear the media act like UGK didn't become a household name until they got with Jay-Z. Hell, I'm from KANSAS and I heard of them and their pocket full of stones, tell me something good (there was a snippet in Menace to society). I think Pimps line in Big Pimpin went so DAMN HARD that people that DIDN'T know him WANTED to, AND he was sexy as fuck in the video. 😂 love the Pimp and rest easy Chad. ❤❤❤

I also remember the feeling at the 3rd ozone awards being in the back with Xvii, Z-ro, Paul wall, and more while Bun B, Too $hort, Big boi, etc did the tribute to Pimp C.
