I've always been an album cut kinda girl. Dru Hill was the perfect substitute for Jodeci calling it quits (as a group). The feelings that I felt when I first heard _Tell Me..._ My goodness. I hope they know what they did on that record. Out of all the teen pop/r&b queens, vocally, I'd have to rock w/ Brandy and Monica. They obviously had the better voices and records, overall. I still love Aaliyah and I listen to her first album all the time. _Young Nation_ is my favorite record. Samantha Mumba... I've honestly never heard her music. I remember seeing her cd in the store and I didn't even bother to pick it up. I can see why because I just paused this video to go and check on one of her records and...well... Let's just say that I can see why I never bothered in the first place. Now, Tatyana Ali, on the other hand, I loved her debut album. She had an album cut entitled, _He Loves Me_ and I listen to that cut all the time. I can see why it didn't work out for her. She had a decent lil' voice that was nothing to write home about. Besides, w/ all eyes on Brandy, Monica and Aaliyah, she really didn't stand a chance. I believe she was signed to Michael Jackson's imprint. 3LW really couldn't sing, but I do like 2 or 3 of they records. Just somethin' to bop to. 702 was coo'...I guess. _Finding my Way_ is my favorite from them. When Destiny's Child, first came out, I kinda overlooked them. I became interested on they second album. My favorite ended up being _If You Leave._ Anyway, I still don't like _The Best of Me_ remix feat. Jay-Z. I prefer the album version w/ Jadakiss. _I should be walkin' away, 'cause his hand's up on my thigh. Should I leave? Should I stay?_ That's my part. Now, on a serious tip, were you blackballed, sis? I know that labels were goin' through hella layoffs, merges, etcetera, but I always wondered why you didn't just try another label. Were they offering you janky deals? Perhaps the independent route was yo' destiny. My only gripe is the lack of exposure. Again, if the music's good then you should be on each and every platform.
